Marissa Laverne Daniel better known as “Marvelous Marissa” was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After graduating from Milwaukee School of Entrepreneurship (2007) she attended Carroll College in Waukesha, Wisconsin however she always wanted to attend a Historical Black College. She took a leap of faith and applied to Clark Atlanta University as a transfer student and luckily she was accepted on her 19 th birthday in May 2008. Her most memorable moment at CAU is when she interviewed WSB’s TV retired news anchor/reporter Monica Pearson in front of a live studio audience on her talk show in college called, “Making a Difference with Marissa.” She graduated from Clark Atlanta University with tears of joy on May 21, 2012, with her undergraduate degree in Mass Media Arts with a concentration in Radio, TV
and Film.

The platform of, “Marvelous Marissa on the Go” was created in March 2019.  God gave me this platform to be bold and allow my gifts to make room for me.  Since promoting myself to the world,God blessed me with countless opportunities to be booked for hosting and speaking engagements. I am also a regular host for WATC Atlanta Live.

I have had the pleasure of hosting and producing “Broken into Beautiful Talk Show”  since August 2017.  During my first season I had the opportunity of interviewing guests such as WSB TV Retired News anchor/reporter Monica Pearson, Sister Circle’s Host/Comedian Kiana Dancie and several other amazing guests.

“From Brokenness to Marvelous” is based on the life of Marissa Laverne Daniel. She was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who left home at the age of 19 to attend Clark Atlanta University (CAU) in Atlanta, Georgia. In this powerful book, Ms. Daniel shares the difficulties she endured in her childhood and the broken, traumatic, and devastating moments she faced in college, after college and as a young adult.
